Game Development Society 🎮
The Abertay Game Development Society is for like-minded students who share a passion for game development as well as supporting other students across all game courses.
As a member of the society, you will gain access to exclusive content throughout the academic year such as live talks from industry speakers, pre-recorded talks/discussions, game jams and workshops put on to learn new skills. Several social events are also held.
There is a strong emphasis that you do not require any prior game dev knowledge/experience to take part in game jams!
Where And When Do We Meet? 🗓
We meet every Thursday at 6pm in lecture theatre 2517. Microsoft Teams is also used where possible to cater to everyones circumstances while COVID-19 still affects our lives.
Our Discord server will be our main hub of interaction with all updates posted there for members and non-members to see. A monthly newsletter will also be emailed to members in advance to summarise the previous month and plans for next month. We do aim to have all our events take place on Thursday evenings from 6pm with exception to game jams which will be announced separately.
