Roleplaying Society
Here at the Roleplaying society, we provide a space for people to meet and play tabletop roleplaying games together! Whether you've never played before or are a dice-rolling virtuoso, come to us for help finding a group and to join our welcoming community.
Throughout the year there will be all sorts of events, from themed one-time games (one-shots) to workshops on different aspects of the hobby. Usually, members are also booked a weekly place to meet for their games at local pubs.
The Game Masters (GMs) who join our society run all manner of tabletop systems, from Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition, to the whimsical Mouse Guard, and the spooky Call of Cthulhu. For more information on what games are currently available, check out our Discord group linked at the bottom of this page.
So, What Is Tabletop Roleplaying?
If you're unfamiliar with tabletop roleplaying games, here's a great description from Roll20's website: "...The barebones essence of a Tabletop RPG is collaborative storytelling. It’s a story co-authored by everyone sitting at the table while playing the game. You and your friends fit themselves into the shoes of a character in the story. There are no invisible walls to block exploration, no limits to what your character looks like and there are no programmed restrictions on your character's behaviour."
